A repentant heart goes a long way.
Oftentimes, we allow guilt, shame, and fear to become the loudest voices in our lives. They start to shape how we see ourselves. It’s almost like we convince ourselves that our past mistakes have disqualified us from a fulfilling, purpose-filled future.
But that’s not the truth.
Jesus already ran the race first—perfectly—so that when it’s our turn to run, we can actually cross the finish line. Not because we did everything right, but because He already made the way right.
Romans reminds us that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” That’s not just a comforting phrase—it’s a lifeline. It’s a gentle nudge telling you, keep going. Keep running.
Hebrews calls us to strip off every weight and the sin that so easily trips us up, and to run with endurance the race set before us. Notice it says strip it off—not carry it while running. Its hard for us to move forward while still holding on to what God already told us to release.
No matter what—don’t stop running.
God chose you. Before you even knew yourself, He knew you. Before you made that mistake. Before you fell into that cycle. Before you missed the mark—again. He still said, “I want you.”
And even now, there’s something in you that still desires Him.
You still want to serve God with your whole heart. You still want to please Him. You’re still willing to grow, to be stretched, to get in the “weight room” spiritually and build strength the right way—letting go of the weights that were never meant for you to carry.
That right there? That’s hope.
Don’t count yourself out, friend.
Repent—and let God renew you. His mercies are new every single morning. That means you are not stuck. You are not disqualified. You are not too far gone.
God has already forgiven you.
Now it’s time for you to forgive yourself.
And move forward.
Walk into freedom. Live like someone who’s been given another chance—because you have. Live like a winner, not someone sitting on the sidelines replaying old mistakes.
Why count yourself out…
when God already counted you in? ❤️
